The Minister of Health and Human Services Dr. Ali Haji Adam, accompanied by Minister of State Dr. Maryam Mohamed Hussein, met with a WHO team led by Dr. Md Mamunur Rahman Malik, WHO Representative in Somalia, and Health Policy Advisor Dr. Marina Madeo, as well as other health specialists. The meeting consisted of an introduction and information exchange between the WHO and the new leadership of the Ministry. The WHO is an integral element of the organizations that aid the health service in the nation, and they contribute significantly to the advancement of public health services.
The WHO Somalia Office assisted the Ministry in the development of health policies, strategies, and plans in order to incorporate Somalia into the Global Health Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided to strengthen cooperation and cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
